About the Authors
Jodie Hogan has been a Spanish professor at a large community college in Maryland since 2014. She taught Spanish at the high-school level for 14 years prior to making the move to college. Jodie specializes in utilizing kinesthetic activities to engage her students as they journey toward proficiency. She believes that students deserve to be engaged in a novel way in every lesson. Like most language teachers, she loves to travel. Jodie most enjoyed the cultural experiences she had in Peru, Spain, Costa Rica, and India.
Kimberly Spence has been a Spanish teacher in a large public high school in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, for 17 years. She pursues her passion of 100% engagement through collaborative learning throughout various levels of Spanish in her classroom. As department chair, she also enjoys developing that passion in the teachers within her department. Kim loves to take her students traveling. Her recent adventures include Costa Rica, the Galapagos Islands, and Iceland.
